we've owned this machine for 3 months and consistently use it one or two times a week for our home theater.
the vendor shipped on time and it arrived the exact day i needed it without having to expedite it with air freight.
from young to old enjoyed watching this old time looking popper make our favorite movie snack.
the popcorn tastes great and it pops up perfect every time.
i was ruining one of my good stainless steel pots trying to cook popcorn in it a couple of times a week.
i have popcorn at least 4 times per week and by far, this is the best popper i have ever had and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
i think i killed that one by putting it in the dishwasher too many times.
amazon is usually great on shipping but this time they were not.
i also ordered the popcorn portion packs from discount tommys (several times now) as i didn't want to mess with measuring oil, popcorn etc.
i had a nice mountain bike that i never have time to get out and ride, less than 50 miles on the bike.
trust me, you can look a long time and not find anything close to this value at this price point or even one much, much higher.
first of all, the delivery time and level of service was awesome!!
it doesnt pop very much at a time and does tend to spit out a lot of kernels while it's popping.
the small batches make it easy to pop for just 1 or 2 people, and the short time it takes to pop additional batches make it easy to serve up to 4.
my only complaint is that this model does spit some unpopped kernals, and that it doesn't pop a lot at one time.
looks good and is a fun item, but if your desire is the finished popcorn and not in owning an unusual popper, you can pop more and spend less money at the same time with another machine imo.
too small (only makes one small bag at a time), awkward to put oil and popcorn kernels in container.
it reminds me of the old 'tv time' popcorn packets that my mom used with a sausepan on the stove when we were kids.
i use this popper all the time; in fact we're on our 2nd one here.
excellent results every time with very few unpopped kernals.
by the time ups had their way with it, it was bent to where the crank just fanned air.
it makes perfect popcorn, with no "old maids", and i can pop as much, or as little as i want, with the same results each and every time.
the stir rod was bent incorrectly at the factory, allowing one side of it to scrape quite severely on the cooking surface; if left like that the nonstick coating would have scraped off in no time.
now we can get pull out the popper and have a bowl of hot, fresh popcorn on our laps in no time.
this is the fourth stir crazy corn popper i have owned in about 30 years.they last a very long time.
i haven't owned a popcorn popper in a long time and am still trying to figure out the point of the nonstick surface on the popper base.
pros: quick, fun, and great tasting popcorn cons: it takes a few times to get your technique right the bottom line: takes a little more work than a microwave, but it makes better popcorn,
the first time we used this product, the popcorn seemed to have no crunchiness to it.
because they took their sweet time, i have lost nearly 7 months of warranty time for an item i bought and have yet to use it one complete time successfully!
that one broke the second time we used it!
the last time it went off halfway through the second batch.
now, on to the reality -- the popper worked great the first time.
we used this popcorn maker a few times before it stopped working.
in addition, it is up to the user to time the popping.
we ordered this (in black) a few weeks ago and have used several times.
do not waste your time ordering this junk.
