Best Popcorn Makers for Butter

we don't always like it so buttery, so we make half air pop and half this popcorn.

i add butter flavored popcorn salt before popping, use olive oil, and shut the popper off when the corn is done popping and turn the holder over as soon as i turn it off.

i also like that i've managed to half the recommended amount of oil and still have a popcorn flavorful enough to not require butter.

i do wonder why cuisinart didn't put a little close-able vent on the top/bottom of the bowl--a vent that would allow some steam to escape during popping, but could be shut so that butter and salt

you can control the oil, salt, and butter (yes, real butter), so you can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you'd like.

i haven't tried to melt butter on the top so i can't say how that works.

also the plastic cover over the butter receptacle did not hold as tightly as one might like.

my only issue is the butter well doesn't work so great, but we found its better tasting and less messy to add the topping oil in before you pop.

if you use the built in butter lid it burns before the corn is done.

it does end up slightly 'moist' which is nice, since i'm on a diet and don't butter it.

for me i use a whole mess of salt and real melted butter...we are talking about snack food after all.

i've decided recently to not eat microwave popcorn (too salty and buttery to me) and went back to popping it on the stove top.
