Best Popcorn Makers for Kernel

the included recommendations for amount of oil and popcorn are way off (too little oil, too much kernels)

this one works great and i am pleased with the quality, although it has alot of uncooked kernels at the end.

i purchased the 8oz pre-measured popcorn packets with oil, salt and kernels and split them.

something to watch though, all kernels aren't created equal, test out different brands to see what works best with the oil you use and this popper, just because the labels says "gourmet" doesn't mean

the popcorn is fluffy and tender and almost every kernel pops.

and the popcorn pops light and fluffy with almost no unpopped kernels.

cooks all the kernels in just minutes.

what i have found is that it is best to just put a few kernels in and do not add the full batch of kernels until the first few pop.

my first batch did not have a single unpopped kernel!

minimal unpopped kernels left over...

i was however impressed with the incredibly small amount of unpopped kernels - and this is using a cheap store brand bag of seed.

other than microwaveable popcorn, orval's was the only popcorn kernels we could find at the local supermarket.

i have tried many different types of popcorn oil and popcorn kernels to get a good tasting popcorn out of this unit.

i've tried 3 different oils and 3 different types of kernels and there has been no difference.

i tried several types of kernels to see if that would help the situation and it did not.
