the quality of the non-stick coating is much lower than it used to be; and the metal stiring bar has degraded in that it tends to bend more readily which allows kernels to slide beneath it.

i purchased the 8oz pre-measured popcorn packets with oil, salt and kernels and split them.

i've also called customer service once because of a part that was damaged in shipping and they sent me a replacement part really quick.
