it quickly pops tasty popcorn and is actually fun for me and my dogs to watch.
it is fast, the corn pops fully, crunchy, hot and you can use as much oil as you like.
the popcorn itself really tastes much better in a unit that uses oil.
i highly recomend using coconut oil to pop, it gives a better flavor than using the standard store brands.
the stirrer mechanism stirs the popcorn and the oil, producing perfect popcorn.
it's easy to use and pops delicious fresh popcorn really quick.
however, the instruction book says to use one tablespoon of oil and if you do the popcorn comes out really dry.
my kids love using it since it's easy and quick.
i've had it for around 3 months now and it fits perfectly in my home theater room.
it's been a great machine - the stirring rod has never jammed, it's easy to clean and makes popcorn fast.
clean up is fast and easy.
putting together the unit is easy and cleaning up is pretty straightforward.
really disturbing too, because the item was in use and very hot with oil splattering.
waring needs to make the product with a significantly larger kettle.
upon reading the manual and comparing it with the user instruction label on the door i found the two disagreed on the amount of oil and popcorn to be used.
i dislike melting the butter on top because it never melts quickly enough before the popcorn is done and needs to be cooked.
it makes excellent popcorn, in a really quick amount of time.
i've never had a popper before, but i found this one to be easy to use and much healthier than microwave popcorn.
it cleans up easily with a wet paper towel and the lid goes in the dishwasher.
in general, the hot air poppers are much more user friendly compared to stir poppers while giving the same results.
wonderful that it is dishwasher safe.
with one tablespoon of oil and 1/2 cup of popcorn, it makes just the right amount for the both of us.
it uses a minimum amount of oil, so we feel we can have popcorn more often.
this popcorn popper is great...used both coconut oil and grapeseed oil and it is great.
the popcorn is consistently good, it takes little oil and is very easy to clean.
if you want popcorn for more than 2-4 people, it might be best to purchase a larger size machine, but for 2-4 people, it's just right.
easy to clean and good product for the money.
it's lightweight & easy to clean.
i scoped out the counter space before purchasing.
it has a pretty small popping pot for this size unit(6x3.5"),you use 1 tablespoon oil and 1/3 cup corn per run..
i was a little surprised by how small the machine is, however, that does mean it will take up less space.
once the corn pops more slowly it is vitally important to shut off the heat to the kettle so that the warming element will not burn out prematurely.
it looks nice but the sheet metal is very sharp inside and it is easy to cut yourself while cleaning the unit ---- speaking from firsthand experience, i might add.
the only drawback to the small size comes when putting the corn and oil in.
after pre-heating the kettle by flipping on the switch for 3 minutes add in the oil and three kernels.
you can make a single serving or a big bowl, and nearly every kernel pops.
you can use scant amount of oil, or be more generous.
ok, it does work and makes tasty, unburned, and well heated popcorn....but, grease spits out the holes on the top and when i put it in the dishwasher all of the coating came off the metal bowl part.
fits in the dishwasher.
I opted for this aluminum popper instead of the stainless steel.
cons: doesn't pop kernels very well, kind of messy to clean up.
pros: it is a very good decorative piece for a home theater cons: it is very inefficient.
cons: cleaning the kettle is an awkward task.
pros: cooks fast and easy to clean cons: heating light not too strong
i tried to let hot water soak in it but i could never get the oil off.
we tried several different popping amounts and different oils and warm up times with no satisfaction.
last to mention it is not user friendly for clean up, and it's made in china.
then cleaning it was the biggest pain in the butt.
not just out under the rod where it's easy to clean, but uo under the actual rotating mechanism.
great looking popper and i like the fact that i don't have to use oil in the popping process.
it was very simple and easy to use, but it simply doesn't work right.
it's easy to use and easy to clean.
recommended for entertainment and massive cleanup, not popcorn.
i had to quickly unplug it and throw it in the sink!
very messy.
when i make air popcorn, i put some flax oil (healthy oil) on top of it with some salt and sometimes some parmesan cheese.
my old machine did take about 10-15 minutes to make what this one makes in about 4, but my old machine popped nearly every single kernal, and they were big, soft, airy pieces...
i also purchased one of these, big mistake.
no matter what size of popcorn i use, and, carefully following the directions that came with the popper to a tee, once the corn starts to pop, most of the corn remains unpopped and flies out of the
cons: dangerously hot to handle, mixes butter with oil and coats popcorn in brown goo.
pros: space age design, groovy looking, fun to watch work for kids.
Recipient of the Toastess TCP-6L Popcorn Popper gift said it was great.

Cons: Dangerously hot to handle, mixes butter with oil and coats popcorn in brown goo.
The popcorn was even covered in it.
I purchase this item for my "new" grandchildren.
This is a great way to make some old fashioned popcorn.
ITS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT TOASTESS COULD ACTUALLY SIT AROUND A TABLE TRY THIS POPPER AND THINK YES THIS IS IT PERFECT.?
it tastes just like popcorn from those big expensive poppers.
i think they make the very best popcorn and it's certainly healthier with a little oil than some of the unknown ingredients you get in microwave packets.
it works faster than microwave popcorn and without the artificial flavorings and chemicals.
yeah it has coconut oil in it but so what.
i found to experiment on oils and popcorn brands, until you get one that works.
it makes a lot of good popcorn with very little to no oil.
it pops the largest pieces and there is no kernels left in the pan, as with other methods.
you can control the oil, salt, and butter (yes, real butter), so you can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you'd like.
for kettle corn i use 1/2 cup orville popcorn, 1/4 c white sugar(brown makes caramel corn) and a little oil, sprinkle with salt before serving.
there is nothing but popcorn and very little oil.
