Wastes roughly 40-50% of popcorn as unpopped kernels, extremely difficult to clean, popcorn flies out of the side vents and out the front door when opened, hinge on door breaks, stirrer gear breaks. Pops stupidly small amount of popcorn (enough for one small-medium size bowl, good for one person eating lightly). Tried to return my unit to Helman Group for a warranty claim, but no response to many e-mails and calls. Finally, weeks later, I got a call OK-ing my return and when I submitted my return info via e-mail for an RMA authorization, per instructions, they refused to issue me an RMA?!?! from Amazon.com If it manages to go long enough for the kettle to fill with popped corn, the popped corn jams so tight you need a tool to remove the burned corn. The thing looks awesome but is completely useless for popping corn. I would not recommend this unit and I will not buy a Helman Group or Nostalgia Electrics product again. What kind of company sells something that they clearly have never tried themselves? from Amazon.com i tried to let hot water soak in it but i could never get the oil off. from Amazon.com we tried several different popping amounts and different oils and warm up times with no satisfaction. from Amazon.com last to mention it is not user friendly for clean up, and it's made in china. from Amazon.com then cleaning it was the biggest pain in the butt. from Amazon.com not just out under the rod where it's easy to clean, but uo under the actual rotating mechanism. from Amazon.com the kettle is easy to clean because it can be removed, but the inside is a pain to clean. from Amazon.com the machine required alot of cleaning. from Amazon.com brought it home. from Amazon.com
