My husband bought this for me for christmas three years ago. I used it three times and the blower stoped working . I looked for a way to replace the blower, but to no avail.
This popper is junk. Overheats before it pops anything. Tried several times with the same results. The good folks at Cooking.com were great wtih the return; they e-mailed a shipping label and took it back no questions asked.
I am like so many others on these reviews.... great looking machine.......
NEVER DID POP ALL THE KERNALS. THIS IS JUNK. COULD NOT GET SATISFACTION FROM NOSTALGIA ELECTRICS. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND THAT WORKS.
One of the sorriest pieces of junk I've bought in a long time. Never worked right and was dead after less than a half dozen uses.
We bought this ridiculous non poppingcorn popcorn popper because it looked cool and we needed it for a themed party we were throwing. Needless to say I filled it up exactly according to the directions and it went on and then it went off.
I have it in a VIA C3 box running a linux web server 24x7. It never gets turned off. Memory has worked fine this whole time. Cons: None
I only got this thing to pop one full bowl of popcorn. After that, it has only been able to pop a few kernels at a time. .then it shuts off until it cools down.
I purchased a Nostalgia Electrics popcorn maker (Model OFP-501) on April 12, 2008. I was very happy with it for the first 2-3 weeks.
Running 512 of kingston in an old pentiumIII 733mghz mobo for my mom, and it works like a charm.. just about doubled my speeds. Overall Kingston mem was a good choice this time. Cons: none.
Cooks with Hot Air, Cooks up to 3.5 oz. at a time
