Black Bar Style "Lincoln" 8 Ounce Antique Popcorn Machine (Bar Style) from Amazon.com I bought this popcorn popper about 3 months ago and we have enjoyed it very much. I am a preschool teacher and I host many fun parties during the year. from Amazon.com There are a few quirks - the doors don't always stay shut (they are held closed by magnets which seems a bit underpowered). Also, on occasion the cable that connects into the bowl sometimes comes loose (also held by magnets). Other than that, I've been happy with this popper and would highly recommend it. from Amazon.com It seems to me that anybody putting a product out in the wild should be proud of what they put out there. Personally I don't feel comfortable putting my work out there if I don't think it's the best I can do. That being said, it's hard to believe that the people that made this popper would be proud of their work. The fit&finish on this machine is very poor, and you get the impression that it was just slapped together and pushed out the door. from Amazon.com I ordered this popper for Christmas, and, unfortunately, have been unable to get it to work properly without burning the popcorn. I thought it would be great for our high school boys who hang out it the basement. from Amazon.com I saw another 8oz machine with a kettle nearly 1 inch deeper. I think the shallow kettle helps too many kernels to go flying about unpopped and end up in the old maid tray. I watched a commercial popper do its thing and there were hardly any unpopped kernels left. There are a bunch with this machine even with using the pre-portion packs. from Amazon.com i really reccomend this popper, oh and there's just me and the wife at home in case you're wondering about the popper being too big for small families--the popcorn stores nicely and it doesn't last from Amazon.com it's big enough to do a great job but not to heavy to move around. from Amazon.com i recommend the popcorn packs but also look for other coconut oil packs for popcorn machines and "flavacol" for that true theater taste. from Amazon.com
