if you keep your cell phone in the same room as the cordless base, from Amazon.com i purchased the extra handset to go with a ge cordless phone i already have. from Amazon.com the phone is easy to use. from Amazon.com i have several cordless phones, but i bought this phone so i would still have phone service in case of power failure. from Amazon.com i purchased two of these extensions to replace two older cordless phones i have. from Amazon.com it works within a few of the interior rooms but as soon as we walk out the door it begins to get static and if we step off either the front or back porch it no longer gets reception. from Amazon.com this phone, while the concept sounds great, just doesn't work. from Amazon.com the sound quality is good. from Amazon.com i had a 5.8mhz phone and could only make it to the front porch before i got static. from Amazon.com - battery life: horrible. from Amazon.com
