I replaced my older Panasonic 2 line business phone with this one. This one is a lot smaller which saves a lot of space on my desk. from Amazon.com I have had several Panasonic phone systems over the years. I needed one with just one handset and speakerphone on the base. from Amazon.com I have been looking for a corded/cordless DECT phone with answering machine for under $100 for some time. I found a few but most had poor reviews. from Amazon.com many years ago, when I bought my first cordless landline phone, I tried many brands including GE and Panasonic. Panasonic cordless phones might be more expensive and never seem to go on sale, but I have since then decided Panasonic will be the only cordless phone I will ever buy from Amazon.com If you order anything from Panasonic, hope you never have a problem, the customer service is nonexistent! I've called them 5 times in a month & still do not have my issue resolved. from Amazon.com I am seldom pleased by the current selection of land line telephones, but this one is really useful. It provides a corded handset with a big but not ridiculous key pad and caller ID display, and it works in power failures. The speaker phone on the base unit is very good - better by far than the Polycom that it replaces for me. The phone includes a cordless remote and remote charger which is very nice, has a truly useful speakerphone, and does show caller ID data. from Amazon.com I have been looking for a corded/cordless DECT phone with answering machine for under $100 for some time.
