unfortunately due to my own clumsy handling of the product i happen to drop it 5 times in a 2 day period, 2 of the drops really hard.
doesn't say here at the product description but it should.
i would like to know if the above reviewer is mistaken in there review of another model, or what is the magic secretgpx pc308b portable cd player with 60 second anti-skip protection (black) to get it
thanks for the fast shipping and the wonderful product quality.
gpx pc308b portable cd player with 60 second anti-skip protection (black)
the product is good for the price but please beware of the build quality as it not sturdy and may not last long with kids.
good product-worth $$.
it may not be high proformance but it's not cheap eiither.
you just report the problem and they replace it free.
at least it has provision for an ac adaptor (the colby does not), but the pin would not remain in contact with the jack unless i squeezed it.
the only problem i have had with this cd player is when you turn it off it goes back to the first piece and not where you left off-some cd's i haven't heard the last few songs.
i purchased this product for myself and my husband to take with us when we walk or fish or whatever.
the only problem i had with this device is the ac adapter jack is weird, it takes a 4.5 volt adapter, and thats what i tried to use on it, but it didnt
i only had problems with skipping discs when my son decided that it was a great toy...
i got this a few months ago and it hasn't caused any problems yet, i even dropped it and it was a little quirky for a while, but it works great now.
it has a bass boost, repeat one, repeat all, program, and shuffle.
i use it for walking, listening to meditating cds, audio books, everything and have not had one single problem with it.
the only problem was the push button for the disc door was smashed inward when i removed item from bubble pack, which i fixed quickly.
$21.00 bucks and no problems.can tolerate a really big jolt without skipping.
a"no frills" great sounding player.the previous reviewer(big bad dad) must have a defected unit,as i have not experience any of those problems.
using the program buttons, or the search buttons, will cause it to stop playing every time.
haha, well i have to say that even with the two problems i have with this cd player it definitely better than the cd player i've been using for years (its from 1994).
a good product, i guess, but the touch screen is a pretty pointless addition to a product that works fine with regular buttons.
purcased this product after making several mistakes with other similar players.
it is only when you go to the product support page that you discover that there is a 'feature': in order to save battery power, resume does not apply when using batteries only when you are using a
pros: sound is adequate cons: poor touch screen function and very poor consumer relations.
as most sony products, this product is a high-quality, worth-the-money, outstanding product.
great product.
the only problem is no radio and keeping it away from my brother.
i was hoping to find a similar produc in the d-nss05 and for the most part i have been satisfied.
pros: weight, sound, non-skip
overall, great product.
sound quality from cd is very good, i noticed a slight lack of extreme highs when using th g force protection, but that went away when i set that to off.
sony tends to make products that seem substantial, and this often means they will last, like the now over 20 year old cassette walkman i have that still not only works, but works well.
i think it was defective because i always buy sony products, and they work great i still have the walkman my grandma gave me 11 years ago and it still works.
also, although the case seems fairly water resistant, the headphone jack isn't protected.
i cringed when i read many of the reviews on this site, because i really wanted to a cd player with car kit as a gift for my father, but even sony's product was poorly reviewed.
i too had a problem with the beeping sound that it made, but fixed it no problem.
the sound can be disabled perminently by pressing the stop button when you put in the batteries or ac/dc adapter.second, the quiet noise problem can be easily adjusted by properly setting the volume
that can get a little irritating. aside from those little problems, i really recommend this discman to everyone!
there is no problem with the volume as some other reviewers mentioned!
