first of all, i think you need to order this cd player in a physical store just in case it breakdowns in a day or two, and you can return/exchange w/o hassle.

i searched around on amazon and found a list of sony brand carry cases so i picked out one that was moderately priced, not the cheapest one, and ordered it.

as far as sound, comfortable earpieces, never skips....only reason i didn't give it five stars is that it needs to have some way to carry it (pocket?) since it does not have a strap, case, etc.

my reccomendation would be to get a pair of simple sony earbuds in the winding hold case.

this is the best player that i could find and has a lot of great features including a remote control that helps when the player is in a case.
