2 it's sound quality is low
i used this player primarily for listening to while walking around.
the construction of the cd player seems very cheap and plastic, and i doubt it will last very long being toted around, but i suspect that is the case with a lot of portable cd players.
the operation beep sound is very loud and annoying, but can be disabled by holding down the stop button when you put in batteries or connect the power adaptor.
you can turn the beep off, but it involves holding down a button each time power is applied to the device.
i do use it occasionally for music (both fm and cd) and it works fine but the sound quality is not great.
pros: it was very easy to install and is attractive with white cabinets. cons: it is not easy to use.
very fast delivery, no problems whatsoever
Bought this, CD player worked a couple of times over the last couple of months, now doesn't work.
Not a bad product, but has very little bass response and the weather channel does not come in very well, no matter where the antenna is positioned
Bought this c.d fm player because it had all I wanted and it was the only c.d player at the store.
So I returned it for another one and only the radio worked not the cd player.
I wish I had looked online first at the reviews for this CD player I bought one today and got it home and it didn't work at all so took it back to try another one same thing didn't work wouldn't play or the radio
My daughter only used this a few times and is very careful with it and it doesn not work.
This cd player is not a good product.
I purchased this CD player for my wife as a gift to take with her out of town.
My 6 year old picked this out and has really enjoyed it so far, he's had it a week.
I bought the item for my wife to use when she walks.
It'll be worth it in the long run.
She had not even gotten out of the drive before she returned saying the player was not functioning properly.
I feel that it is a very good CD player.
I've been having pretty bad luck lately with CD players, so I finally decided to try a new brand.
it used so much power to run the cd player that i was changing batteries every few days.
of all the portable stereos i have owned over the past 20 years, this was the most disappointing.
I'm in jail and it's perfect because I can listen to a cd or find out whats going on in the world with the AM radio.
Now I have to use a band to hold the cover down so I can listen to my CDs on it.
It used so much power to run the cd player that I was changing batteries every few days.
regular portable cd/mp3 players just don't make it.
this portable cd player is simply the best.
i also purchased the case logic portable cd player case and i love that.
it has superb sound quality.
it has every thing i need as far as features, great sound quality and longer battery life than i would have expected.
i think technology is such these days that if you're experiencing mp3 skipping on an mp3 discman, it's probably a very poor player; i'd expect no skipping (except maybe running, and supposedly this
the sound quality was a big improvement over my philips magnavox cd player using the same headphones.
i do wish it had a backlight, and i'd have no problem losing some battery life (especially since it's awesome with this player), but i knew i was not getting that when i bought it.
i have cds with several tracks, each running between 1 and 2 hours long.
but what if you go out for jogging.
life, useful, sound quality,..
but the size and battery life is a serious high point.
the bottom line: i’m a simple kind of guy.
sacd playback should have been included in a top of the range sony product.
i have owned several portable cd players, mainly because i enjoy listening to audio books while i work around the house and yard.
when you are playing a good cd it almost seems as if the sound is all around you.
i went for a walk with this in a sholder bag and it never skipped.
shocks don't seem to be a bother to the player with it off, but i don't jog.
if you like to walk or jog, this is the best cd player i have found.
sound quality from cd is very good, i noticed a slight lack of extreme highs when using th g force protection, but that went away when i set that to off.
the sound quality of this product is good, nice bass n clean treble, it sounds like wehn u r listening to 1 of those expensive stereo........the price is not bad too
it has great sound quality and can hold nearly 500 songs on 1 cd with atrac burning software.
in brief, this is a wonderful product with all features that are needed for a portable mp3 player.only thing is that ear buds keep falling as they don't come with padding.excellent portable mp3 player
pleased with the product and sony is the brand i would recommend pros: durable, good sound, powerful, stable best uses: daily use, travel describe yourself: practical
pros: sound quality is good and ear buds are comfortable.
pros: build quality, ergonomics, battery life (50 hours!!!) cons: sound quality and poorly designed headphone jack
pros: case build quality cons: sound quality is unacceptable for a cd player.
pros: sturdy and does not skip cons: sound quality is mediocre, and unit is heavy and bulky the bottom line: sound quality is not clear - muddy and unbalanced.
The Bottom Line: Recommended, especially for active use (running, walking, etc.) or when a more rugged player is desired.
i use this on exercise machines indoors and they are shaken by vibration often so the test is always in flux.
all of this for the poorest sound quality imagineable.
the headphones that come with are marginal but i use sony monitor phones and the sound is full spectrum.i would have added a random playback feature but maybe it has one and i havent found it.
The 45 sec.
The unit was bought for my 11 year old daughter.
it also improved the line quality of my internet cable running from the wall.
you can run the whole thing on one battery, which means
battery rechargeable function
there's also a recharger built in for nihm batteries.
there were plugs for everything and turning on/off devices never gives any indication of surging or power fluctuation.
i've had it for 9 months and it works like new, so reliability isn't a problem.
the sound quality kicks ass and it has nice looks.
perhaps best of all is its rock-solid reliability, which should make it usable for years of use - though this type of player isn't meant for hardy use.
the sound quality with the ipod-like earphones is crystal-clear, although rather loud - anyone who needs to turn the wolume above 4 must be deaf.
pros: sound quality, features, layout, battery life.
Pros: am/fm radio, no skip, free headphones, sleek design for maximum portablity
Pros: cd-rw playback,a switch that shuts off the buttons 2 level bass boost.
Pros: durable, long battery life, good sound quality
The Bottom Line: This simple but sophisticated CD player has crisp, clear sound quality that anyone can rely on for a very long time.
Pros: Everything
being tired of having to hold it in my hand while going on my walks, i "broke down" and splurged for a new one with the anti-chock feature.
i can listen to music while exercising and it really makes for a lot of pleasure, also the time passes faster.
if i am to be the beneficiary, i never rush into buying things, and the acquisition recently of a portable cd player was yet another example.
portable cd players have a wide range of costs, but they usually depend on the functions included with the player.
this one comes with what i think are necesary in a quality cd player: good audio quality and portablity.
oh, yes: the sound quality is outstanding when it works.
the included earbuds serve their purpose but if you're going to be listening under headphones most of the time, i'd suggest purchasing a higher quality pair if you are picky about sound quality.
i purchased this cd player for its multi-format reading capabilities, long-lasting rechargeable gumstick battery, 5-line backlit display on the player (1 line on the remote), extensive options such
the second replacement unit seems to work ok, but the charging base arrived broken: the electrodes were broken off.

i used to jog around the track with it and it did not skip.
it doesnt skip(iv been shking it) the battery life iusnt as good as my sony wich only used one battery..
my dad is not very tech savvy and needed a portable cd player to help him learn to play the piano and this player is perfect for him.
no power adaptor and power plug.
