I'm actually going to buy another one just because i like it so much. I have had many personal cd players in the past that skipped for no reason and were totally horrible. When I finally got my own job, I shelled out 5 extra bucks and got something that was 10 times the quality of a $15 walkman. I only had problems with skipping discs when my son decided that it was a great toy...
This is an excellent player that comes with all the fragility of its kin, pricey or not. The ergonomics are poor(small buttons, unreadable counter screen, battery compartment hidden and tough to get at) but it is a great sounding sony product and quite attractive and comes in various colors. Any player you buy in this format is going to have the same faults , except this one is the least expensive i have seen.
Sony Disc player does not work. It won't recognize disc in player.
I got this CD player because I thought sony was a good company, plus I liked the look of it. But after just 5 months after purchase, and not even using it that often, it has already broken.
I love this CD Walkman, especially the headset-or should I say ear plugs since it does not have actual head phones over your head. The sound is so great the ear plugs are directly in your ears with just a wrapped wire around your ears to hold in place.
as you've read previously, this is such a terrible drop in quality for Sony. i don't know what it was.
I almost didn't purchase this CD player because of all the bad reviews it had been getting, but I decided to go for it! I am glad I did, I am very happy with this Sony Walkman!
I have always been a fan of Sony because they make quality products that are "user-friendly". That is why I was in a state of complete shock that this little blue cd walkman is made by Sony, because it is on the other end of the spectrum compared to what they usually manufacture.
As far as other reviews, there must be a high defective rate because I dropped mine uncountable times and it plays like new. As far as sound, it has the same bass settings as previous Walkmans.
Sony knows that they can make a CD player in all different colors with their name on it, and make a lot of money on it. First time I saw it, $30, now when I see it, $50-$60, way too much money for what this CD player can handle.
