I was surprised how great the sound was. The headphones that come with are marginal but I use Sony monitor phones and the sound is full spectrum. I would have added a random playback feature but maybe it has one and I havent found it. from Circuitcity.com Had a Memorex CD player from the late 90's that my wife gave me as a gift. It was Ok and pretty rugged so I decided I would buy another. from Circuitcity.com I was able to get this player to play a CD-RW with mp3s only one time.
