i got this because my old cd player cannot cope with electrical interference when it is playing in the cup holder on our treadmill and because the amazon photo shows easily accessible controls.

as long as i'm not jumping around while i'm walking along,i can put the unit in my jacket pocket while playing a cd and it works ok.

i use portables for listening to audio books while walking and this player was simply terrible - it skipped all the time even snug and safe in my tunebelt and i mostly ended up gingerly carrying it

this cd player works very well...it doesn't skip and is a very simple cd player that serves my needs.

there is still occasional skipping when i listen to audio books while i walk, but it's certainly a big improvement over my old cd players that didn't have this feature.
