it is a great product for the price.
you can fit more music on cheap md's, and have multiple md's for the moods you are in.as for the software, sony finally got wise and formed an agreement with realone player to use it to download
okay, i've owned the sony nw-ms9 (lighter sized mp3 player with the most expensive media on the face of this earth!) and i've dealt with the terrible openmg software that comes with it, but i
price was the main factor for me and it seems to be the same size as some of the larger hard disc players out there.
prior to buying my md at bestbuy, i tired the iriver mp3 player and the newest rca lyra 128mb player...the iriver is operated by a joystick (so hard to navigate) and it is cheaply made!
the media is cheap, the batteries are cheap, and it won't skip.
maybe the price?
i have to disagree with some of the bad reviews; for the average joe out there it's a great music player to have due to it's size, ease of use, versatility the disks provide and the price.
for that price i can't complain about this small and feature-rich player.
the remote seems cheap in that it scratches easily and the color does not go thru the plastic rather is painted like cheap electronics.
this is a great alternative to expensive mp3 players.
sony i think makes the best electronic products and are the most reasonable when it comes to prices.
i got a decent price from amazon.com at that time but the price that is currently listed on this game is fantastic and i would advise anyone who is contemplating on purchasing this game to snatch it
one player comes with a gig disc, and one player + 5 one gig discs is still $100 cheaper than ipod (storage on one disc is 45 60 min.
also unlike the ipod, it has 25 hours of battery play instead of having an irreplaceable rechargeable battery which only plays for 8 hours and is easier on your budget.
far cheaper than hd player.
looks and actually, it is cheap.

this is by far the greatest utility on the market for the price.
weaknesses: headphones look cheap...no mic built-in.
but still a good minidisc player for its price..it has speeds now that you can add alot more music on the discs as well i got a total of 48 songs on one alone..its a great space saver with all that
they are enjoyable cheap to buy more, they are rewritable, and they hold 80 minutes of basic cd-audio, or close to 4/5 hours of 'low bitrate' audio, which is just compressed mp3s.
for one thing, it is soooo much cheaper, and frankly, it's more reliable than an ipod because there's not as much that can go wrong.
minidiscs are cheap folks, you can get them for about a buck-fifty a piece.
the battery life is very long, even for the cheap dollar general brand of batteries i use.
even longer than dragging and dropping my directory trees onto the more expensive hard-drive players.
disc's are cheap less than a buck, and can be reused over 1 million times, i have disc's i made 11 years ago sound great, the software has even gotten better, you can delete just one song, or add
"the sony mz-dh10p hi-md represents real value for money when pitched head to head with the hard drive mp3 players like the apple ipod and nw-hd5.
the price of it has gone down immensely since it came out.
if i compare that to an ipod its like 'day and night' and noticeable with even cheap ear plugs.
ignoring the list price for a second, this was obviously a failed project that some "smart" guy at sony thought would put md ahead of ipod.
the player has a high price, but i believe that it will give you more pleasure than you can get from any other music player, including the newest and fanciest 160 gig hardrive music player or flash
i have yet to find a less expensive source for "made in japan" replacement batteries.
even with the price, i have 2.
does the job at a nice price.
