I found Sonic Stage to be very easy to use and navigate - in addition to recording to the minidisc player it also allows you to convert MP3 files to regular audio CD files and vice - versa and record

I flipped through the manual, not really reading it, and popped in the software, the entire procedure (of setting everything up to working order) was easy and relatively uncomplicated .

Only complaint might be that there is no way to hook it up to power via AC adapter, but when it only takes one AA battery you can just get some rechargable batteries and you are set.
