I cannot compare the dx to the previous versions of kindle, although I wanted to purchase both, I never did.

The first thing I noticed about the KDX is that it could as easily be called the Kindle Jumbo, or The Kindlenormous, because compared to my K1 (as stated above, I never owned a K2) it's huge!
