I have been using an IPAQ since it first arrived on the scene in the 1990's. When I worked, it was an efficient way to store and carry data with me and it allowed me to write reports using Word while away from my office. from Amazon.com My black and white Palm Pilot finally stopped working after 9 years of faithful service. I didn't want a phone that would run my life or cost me a fortune; I didn't want another laptop device, no matter how small. Then I discovered the HP iPAQ 111 Classic handheld and I love it! It's easy to use, easy to set up, can do just what I want (calendar, address book, calculator, tape recorder) or much more, including emails and other web-based tasks. from Amazon.com I ordered a new IPAQ 111 so I could down load my files from my previous HP Pocket PC h2215. It would not synchronize with my computer nor my HP IPAQ 2215. from Amazon.com I bought this unit to replace my Ipaq 1955, which has failed a couple of times and not quite up to par anymore. This one is much faster and gets on the internet much more easily than the old one, in spite of the fact that the instructions for making a wifi connection are poor at best, and I pretty much had to fumble around to get in. from Amazon.com This is my second ipaq and for the money, it was a good upgrade, considering that it has the web wireless connectivity integrated and improve a bit the performance and the bottons and looking. I miss the dock station, and the syncronization speed it is slower than the old model, due to a extended process. from Amazon.com I purchased this as a replacement for my ageing Palm Tungsten E which I have used for many years & loved, but is no longer available. I found the iPAQ to perform better than the Palm and has a much larger and sharper viewing screen. It is faster and the battery charge lasts MUCH longer than the Palm's. from Amazon.com Good, slim size and lightweight, however I've never been able to access email or Internat access from it at any location. Very complicated to set up email and Internet access. I was also disappointed to learn it does not have Solitaire (game) on it, as my previous iPAQ did. HP iPAQ 111 Classic Handheld (FA979AA#ABA) (110 Series) from Amazon.com I sent it back to HP and it was fixed under warranty and is working OK now. HP was easy to work with and I had it back within one week. I find it very adequate for my needs, it syncs nicely with my PC with all the Office apps. My personal data is protected with an easy to use password unlock feature. from Amazon.com I had been a Palm user for a long time and found I had to switch to something else when I upgraded to a Windows Vista system. I'll be honest; the first iPAQ111 I had was a horrible. It was a refurbished model that I think wasn't quite up to snuff. from Amazon.com Because of unfortunate circumstances (my PDA was stolen while visiting Paris), I had to seek a replacement. I brought the HP iPAQ 111 after reading all of the literature I could find on it and any Palm products.
