I also installed a couple of good anti spyware programs(because I'm not so sure how good windows defender is by itself) and installed FireFox cos I hate IE. I was a bit skeptical about Vista because I bought my wife an Acer last year and had many probs with Vista and some program compatibility which I eventually straightened out but it was a pain.
