integrated into the shipped bios is a digital overclock for those times i feel it necessary to get a little boost in speed.
also leave speed stepping on in the bios i had real poor performance with it turned off which doesn't make a lot of sense but theres no reason to run the cpu full throttle 100% of the time anyway,
for such a tiny laptop, performance is off the hook, the atom 270 clicks some real :::.
if you are expecting a $3,000 performance then go buy a $3,000 pc.

the turbo button is a really nifty addition - it overclocks the cpu by 600mhz (300 for each processor) (an improvement of about 15%) and adds quite surprisingly to any demanding game.
even though this cpu is only a 2.0 according to canirunit.com it reads at a 5.10 ghz speed.
i may have to keep an eye on how hot it runs tho: my speedfan program shows the core at 48c but it has run as hot as 67c during normal internet surfing even though i use a chill mat.
you will not find a cheaper laptop with a better performance than this one.
it starts up quick and in general, speeds through most programs.

so for this reason if you are looking a best price performance and a value add machine the msi gives to you all you need to have for a very reasonable price
they do alot of durability and performance testing at msi and this looks like a rock solid machine.
i love my computers powerful and fast and the ideal of a netbook that had comparable speed with some celeron chip initially turned me off.

i had done a lot of research, and in fact, actually bought the vaio lifestyle pc and returned it after very poor performance/speed.
the only initial complaint was that i had to get a freeware program to control the fan speed since it is normally on at full speed (and noisy).
the price and performance put it well above anything else out there.
the speed is the same if not better than my larger laptop.
it has enough speed to run ms office acceptably, though the screen really isn't big enough to do anything serious -- but i say the same thing about the hp notebook.
we put it in standby quite a bit but for some reason something eats up memory somewhere and clogs the network, have to restart once a day to get good network connectivity and better performance.

my pc for the reason that because it is slightly more compact, my fingers do not have to move as much to reach the keys, so less movement effort required to type a key = a much improved type speed.

first things first: this product is designed for portability over performance.
the keyboard and the speed are far superior to the asus and it works great.
it is the only netbook i've ever owned, so i'm far from an expert regarding the speed of the n110 in comparison to other netbooks.
i've been using the samsung n110 for 3 days now at the time of this review, and i am very happy with it's performance.

it is rated for 7.5 hours of use, but more is obtainable if you lock the cpu to minimum speeds (800mhz) and reduce brightness.
it's performance, build and appearance are of the highest quality and all of the other products, despite having the same basic components, pale by comparison.
i don't have any statistics for you, but the feel of the speed with which this netboook follows-through is worth note.
- performance could be better: jagged frames while playing 720p content; rosetta stone runs slowly especially the voice recognition processing
