The Gateway T-1424U is meant to be an affordable system with decent performance and high portability. It's everything you can hope for in a work laptop: it's light, has a nice finish, nice HDMI display, dvd-rw, a powerful athlon processor, 3gb of ram that allows you to run almost anything, ATI graphics that allow you to run some games and most imaging software (got adobe CS3 on it and it runs nicely). However, Gateway messed up in a few areas. The battery, though 6-celled and 4400mah and yadda yadda yadda, barely gives you 2 and a half hours of life working like you normally would (no dvd) on a powersaving scheme. from Amazon.com
