I use it mostly for for connecting to the internet and getting email. The over look is nice. The battery last well over 6+ hours with constant use and it blends nicely into the back of the notebook. The Intel Core2 Solo ULV SU3500 Processor is a very nice improvement. from Amazon.com After spending several weeks searching through all the netbooks that are available on the market, I found out about the new Acer Aspire 1410. This baby has a bit more computing power and storage space than most of the base models and the 11.6" screen (with its 1366x768 resolution) is a huge improvement over the 10" screens. from Amazon.com S. Acer tried but the result is a device that is probably over-powered for its size; the individual components aren't supported by the just-as-important infrastructure tying the components together. Then I heard about this tiny Acer notebook with a ULV processor capable of running Vista, and its integrated graphics which are Aero capable and I could not wait to pick it up! I was looking at the 11z Dell but this has a faster processor (Penryn versus Celeron) and better touchpad/navigation (I like the mouse buttons) at the same price. from Amazon.com The system chipset is a shrunken version of the robust Intel 4500MHD, which delivers above-average system I/O performance and stability. Its performance is well matched to the CPU, using the same architecture designed for high-end Intel systems (with T9600 CPU, etc.). True, the graphics are not the best, but hardware 1080p decoding is there, and since it has been the mainstream for larger notebooks, the drivers are mature and stable, good for running Windows or Linux, or even MacOS (?) (cf GMA 500 driver issues and slow SATA HDD performance, capped at 40MB/s). Kudos to Acer for including both HDMI and VGA connectors, allowing users to quickly expand the tiny display (triple monitor capable!) at home or work. from Amazon.com Suspend/resume is a dream to work with, and the 2GB of memory is enough.
