media center os is a nice plus.
one reason i got it was to play certain games and with that dual core processor and an installed x700 video card, it works great.
one big red flag for some people is that the included media reader (which has slots for 5 or 6 types of card) for some incomprehensible reason is not usb 2.0 compatible; even though there's a true
there is one drawback, and that is it has media center edition loaded.
it came with media center (which i really don't need, but some of the added features are ok).
media center is nice although tv reception on high quality is still kind of poor.
play world of warcraft on it and it works fine.
dvd burner is horrible, only 8x.
2gb memory definitely makes a difference when i play games and do some computation.

i installed a hauppauge 950 usb hdtv tuner, and it has performed ok watching and recording hd movies (even with media center), reading my e-mails with outlook 2007 and writing a document with ms

this medium performance dual core athlon hp media center 2005 pc is an unexpected delight.
first the dvd writer drive said that when i put a blank cd in to copy it says there is no cd in that drive, called hp and fixed the problem for a while.then my mouse and videos would freeze at
at first i was a little dissapointed when i recieved the media center.
i have enjoyed my hp media center computer.
