Velocity Micro claims to have top end computers using retail parts which are suppose to be better. I have had my computer break down twice since I owned it.
After doing a lot of research, I decided to go for this pc. Unfortunately it does not extist. This review (from Cnet) was writen only a couple months ago, but when I had contacted Velocity Micro they no longer offered the computer.
I finally made the move to a Custom PC and I'm never looking back. I ordered mine online, but they are also available in Best Buy. Velocity Micro offers users, who consider their PC more than just an appliance, a modern system that has all the bells and whistles and they do it at price that is still less than many systems out there. From its sleek aluminium case, its lighted fans and its well thought out internal wiring, the VM Vector GX is truly a good looking machine.
Velocity emails you the status of the making of the machine and when they mail it. No problems so far.
By offering its overclocking on the mainstream Vector GX Campus Edition desktop, Velocity Micro gives students--and anyone else in need of performance on the cheap--best-in-class performance.
The Velocity Micro Vector GX is a no-brainer for those who want a bunch of performance for not a whole lot of money. Since this is a special "Campus Edition," I don't expect Velocity Micro to produce a lot of these handmade systems, but I foresee quite a few lucky students (and home users) with high-performance systems that look like utilitarian systems to both the eye and the wallet.
