if you are running more than 2gb ram, remove the additional ram and reinstall it after the o/s is loaded.

i used my other computer to format the drive and reinstalled it into the new pc.

doing so will make your computer run faster and smoother anyways, even if you we're to reinstall xp after a clean format.

i understand the differences but my main concern is whether or not i can reinstall vista.
