Best Operating Systems for Motherboard

right now i have been playing ghost recon advanced warfighter because it was free with the evga card, but the drivers for the evga 680i motherboard and 8800gts just aren't working out.

other thoughts: just built my new computer and vista runs great on it: amd athlon x2 6400+, 4gb ddr2, zalman 9700, geforce 8800, and an asus am2 motherboard.

aero is also a really cool looking feature cons: 64 bit does have some compatibility issues with certain programs like motherboard and video card apps not built for 64bit systems but besides

you either have to buy a computer system with xp or you have to buy the componets such as cpu, ram, motherboard, etc.

i tried it and the core 2 utility was only supposed to give info on the motherboard because my gpu isn't msi...well, all it gives me is gpu information and no option to look at the cpu readings at all

it won't reinstall easily if you replace the motherboard later.

if you, let's say, upgrade your motherboard or ram, most people are able to successfully re-validate the installation without any complications.

after replacing the motherboard, doubling the memory to 1gb, and loading windows xp on this computer, the machine just screams and the customer is happy.

pros: from disc insertion to desktop took about 15 minutes (way faster than installing xp), found drivers for every component in my system (including 6 usb devices, one of which was my printer) right
