other thoughts: best performance upgrade you can make if you're running vista is to dump it for xp.

it's a solid os, only limitation i don't care for is the ram mem, but i don't need more than 2 gigs at the moment anyways, as do most people don't, just gamers maybe.

longer than you want to read about here, but if you are considering a new build, stay with xp for now even though it is limited to dx9, you can get a dx10 gpu and hack game files to run dx9 in dx10.
