no problem if it worked, but it did nothing but light up indicating it was supposedly turned on.

for dark or shadowed areas the ir illuminator lights it up like a floodlight (only out to about 50 yards though).
as for the guy who gave it 2 stars, the one who said it wouldn't shut off right away, that's because scopes retain whatever light they are able to trap.
its' very pratical, light, has all kind of adaptions, very good design but i was unhappy because the focus is not good.

yes is true is very clear optics , you can see in total darknes about 350 m it's agood rand , price and qulity .
but you really can see in complete darkness so that is the point of the ir.
not bad, on the whole, for watching wildlife in the dark.
100 bucks is not too much of a waste, but if you are serious about nightvision you should spend about 10 times as much.
down/up the ir to the optimum viewing intensity.

Make sure you adjust the dioptre focus properly or you will have a harder time adjusting the main focus tube.

I bought the AMT NightStorm, expecting a high-grade optical device, but as it turns out I received a very poor piece of equipment.
This is nothing more than a toy.
The FT1200 is more appealing with its rubberized housing that looks way more rugged and tough.
the seller never claim that this device actually have a zoom feature, but I was mislead by the part where it claim that it does have 4X optics but anyway.
