After some failed attempts at streaming video over a wireless (Draft-N) connection I purchased this Netgear power-line adapter and couldn't be happier. I connect the router (Trendnet TEW-633GR) in my basement to an inexpensive network switch (Netgear - FS605 - 5-Port 10/100 Network Switch (Recertified)) in my living room TV cabinet that then connects to my DVR (Dish VIP-622), blu-ray player (LG BD 370 Network Blu-ray Disc Player), and stereo (Rotel RX 1052). from Amazon.com I bought the NETGEAR XAVB101 Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter Kit based on the reviews here, and my desire to use a hard connection to my iMac to replace the wireless 802.11n I've been using so far. The proported speed of 200 Mbps of the kit tracks very nicely with the maximum speed of 802.11n, and it would eliminate any wireless interference issues I might have. from Amazon.com Product worked just like it was supposed to, had issues at first with it interfering with another powerline system I use to send a tv signal, but the encryption feature solved that no problem and the speed is still amazing.
