Our 3 year old desktop computer crashed - would no longer boot - and required replacement. I purchased a relatively inexpensive replacement planning to use the Linksys wireless card from the old computer. To my surprise/disappointment I found the slot on the new computer's motherboard will not accept the old wifi card. from Amazon.com And unlike the routers, there is no reset option. The unit is out of warranty. So Linksys said "Sorry Charlie". Even though their software and firmware update killed the machine. from Amazon.com I purchased the PLK200 one day from Amazon.com and received it the next day with free shipping. It works perfectly for me. Note that the units are PL"E"200s. The PL"K"200 is the kit with two PLE200 units, CD, 2 CAT5 Ethernet Cables and documentation. from Amazon.com Works quite well in a house where a wireless signal couldn't penetrate multiple walls. I'm hoping it will run cooler and last longer than the Netgear WGXB102 that burned out after a couple years, esp. since the Linksys costs more. from Amazon.com Note: I'm an EECS PhD and total geek I avoided powerline networking for years because I've heard it had problems.
