i can't get a huge image since this is a standart throw projector so the increased resolution is of barely no use for me.a short-throw 800x600 projector would be much better choice for a living room.

the projector then displays the correct aspect ratio, and you have nearly unnoticeable black bars on the sides of the image (because 1280x800 is not as wide as 1280x720).

we ended up painting the wall over the fireplace, and framed it using the reflective paint available online line (somewhere), but it looks great even on the bare wall!!

also be aware of the lens shift difference between lcd and dlp projectors, the lens on this thing can move around a decent amount verses a dlp projector which can barely move the lens, if at all.
