the portability factor is nice, and the ability to watch things on usb drives or sd cards instead of hooking it up to the computer or tv, although we haven't done that yet.

you can connect it to your computer using a usb, if you're on a windows computer.

the usb connection, when connected to my computer, displays a signal that rivals the vga connection, though it doesn't refresh the page as often thereby making motion images a bit jerky.

with macos, setup was as easy as plugging in the video and usb cables.

i was able to use the usb cord (included) to do a power presentation for a meeting, only 24 hours after the projector arrived.

i do have a mac, so you can't use the usb cord with it (why, i don't know), you have to use the vga cord and may need to get an adapter for it.

this unit does have a usb connection for your computer, but i used the vga cable that came with the unit, and s-video for playing games/dvd's etc.

it has all the inputs i needed it to have (2 types of monitor connections, s-video, regular video {yellow, red and white conectors}, usb, and even a monitor out function).

the unit includes a usb power adaptor that pumps out 5v at 2a (!) that is how much juice it takes to run the unit while plugged in to ac power.

the included power cable is annoyingly short and sadly the projector can't draw enough power to run off the usb ports on the console.

usb did not work with my mac computer; i had to procure a pc laptop for my presentation.
