now i run hdmi and digital optical audio from xbox into an av receiver surround sound, then i run a hdmi to dvi cable into the projector.

i spent 330 to get a ht receiver that has tru pass through hdmi and switching for other video connections...to reduce the cables that need to go to the projector.
