the picture is crystal clear with bright, rich colors, the fan is much quieter than my old sharp projector, and the bulb is bright enough in "low" mode to even watch during the day in my living room.
the fan remains on for a few minutes after i turn it off -- this isn't a con necessarily, but just shows the measure of heat this thing needs to dissipate.
it's a little loud since the projector was installed directly above one of the couches and since i live in denver i have the high altitude setting on (turns on the cooling fan) - but with the
it uses the silicon optix reonvx video processor found in very expensive systems and it does a fantastic job of upscaling and de-interlacing standard definition (sd) sources.
my only complaint is the fan is a bit noisy, even in economic mode,(projector is above seating area), but otherwise i don't think there is a better projector for the price.
the only con is the fan sound, but my surround system drowns it out.
the lens joystick adjuster is fantastic and easy to use.
it has fantastic picture quality, and if you have never owned a projector before, expect to be stunned when you first see it.
you can hear the fan, but it is not loud enough to be a problem, and i have it right next to my head.
when turning the projector off, a countdown is shown on the screen and the fan runs very fast, but once the timer reaches 0 the projector is off (completely off, not stuck in a cooling state for 5
word of advice invest in a small fan of some sort.
(fan is very quiet even in bright mode).
the picture was fantastic, clear with nice clear picture and colors.
the second thing is that the cooling fans suck in air right through the area around the lens and that seems to make the dust accumulate on the lens.
the only con is fan sound its bit loud.
i have long been a fan of projectors for my home theater.
it's very bright, the picture is excellent, and we hang a big white sheet over the entrance to the living room, we pop some corn or fry up some chips with our george foreman spin fry thingy, and we

had to put my hand up to the unit to see if the fan was running because it is so quiet.
however, the fan is not loud enough to be noticeably.
(that's xbox for anyone that doesn't know.) i have a 1080p upconverting dvd player hooked up and movies are fantastic.
the setup and operating instructions were clear, setup was simple, the on-screen menus are easy to use, we don't hear the fan, and for our purposes, we can't think of a single thing we would change.
/ hd dvd wars i am sticking with old school dvds, which turns out to be fine because this machine can make them look fantatstic -- especially if you pair the machine with a new upscaling dvd player.

i have it hooked up to an inexpensive home theater system, and movies are fantastic on it.
fantastic projector.
eazy to set up, dont hear fan when watching or playing games.

i have friends with 2,000 and up projectors and fancy inhouse movie theaters and with the little cost of this one i have had a hard time comparing the two, since they are so close.
i wish i could give it 4.5 stars because it lacks 2 hdmi inputs and the fan is audible in high power modes (but not distracting).
the only somewhat negative about this unit is the fan can be heard when not in low power cinema mode but does not disturb viewing experience.
skin tones are a tad on the green side, and with the higher output settings, the fan is noticeable.

the fans run but because it thinks it is overheated, no picture will display.
there is a little bit of fan noise from it, but it's low enough that i don't mind having it on my desk.
the fan is located on the side of the projector and even after a 8 hour movie marathon, i have no problems with overheating.
this projector is simply fantastic.

movies look fantastic, hd channels look sharp and my xbox 360 games look brilliant and vastly colorful.
i only have one low point and that is during a the silence scene you can hear the fan.
