i recommend buying a sound system to compliment the speakers to improve the theatre feel, but you cannot beat the price for what you are getting from this product.
summary: the best part about dv11 is the built in dvd player and the adequate speakers which is very important that we can use the projector in more than one place.
for one who is not really picky, the unit's built in speakers are perfectly fine.
built in dvd function and speakers are incredible!
i got by this by hooking up a set of bose powered speakers and subwoofer.
only thing is it does not have built in speakers.
only cons so far are the lack of speakers (i'm having a hard time figuring out what speakers/connections to use for sound) and not knowing how to get my xbox to play on it.
between this projector, some cheap computer speakers, and a laptop, i have a home theater.

no speakers
so far, i have tested everything but the hdmi (the cable should be shipping soon) and the speakers (i've hooked it up to my surround sound system), and everything works as advertised.

i added a pioneer v918 ($240) and a yamaha 5.1 speaker set ($129) and so for slightly under $1000, i have a 93 inch screen capable of 720p hd, 5 speakers, a sub, and an hdmi switching 100
the built in speakers are nice for when i don't want to power up the stereo to use it for the wii.

great 10w audio speakers fill an average sized room with no need for aux speakers.
the inclusion of a built-in speaker as well as output to external speakers is a great convenience.
have it connected to an onkyo tx-sr805 receiver and a set of yamaha surround sound speakers.
if you do some research and shop around, this projector, a decent screen, cables, a good receiver and speakers can be had for the same $2500.
