The NP100 gets great reviews, but I never take it too seriously because the reviews always say "For the price...". I bought one because I just wanted something that would project a movie onto my wall. from Amazon.com Watched movie trailers from Apple to test out the quality and 720 looked very crisp and clear. The projector is not real bright when on eco mode, and I don't plan on using standard mode but it wasn't much brighter...just plan on using your shades and curtains if you watch during daylight hours. I liked the price, NEC seemed like a better "Name brand" to me than Benq, Acer or the Viewsonics of the same price range. from Newegg.com It is clearly stated in the rebate offer that "you should receive your rebate within 6-8 weeks of postmarked date on this claim form". I bought a projector in May and 12 weeks later I have no rebate check. Other Thoughts: I called NEC today (second call on this topic) to check to see if I will ever see this money. Bulb has not faded or dimmed, never over heated, flickered or anything. from Newegg.com Pros: I have 4 of these projectors in use for business.
