We have four of these and use them for outdoor projection in a variety of environments - eg onto buildings, landmarks, streets etc. My review is specifically in relation to that application - we don't use these for home-theatre at close range as the DLP colour-flash (rainbow effect) would be way too annoying. The highly functional design with the handle moulded into the body of the projector, manual sliding lens-cap and the super-fast cool down time make this the perfect unit for projection-on-the-go. The high contrast ratio and brightness are excellent when dealing with situations with some degree of ambient lighting (eg from security lights). from Amazon.com
