think about it...you get a ton of new/classic/favorite music to download onto your zune and take with you to listen in your car or with headphones.
i have it plugged into my deck in my truck , sony cdgtx920u , thru the usb port in the back , and i can control everything right trhu the deck.
i only use it for mp3 playback in my car.
in the car, it rides in the center console without any fancy rubberized or neoprene cases.
i purchased a zune car pack with the fm transmitter, so i put it in our family car, and tried it out, very nice sound, i would need a very big box to hold all the music stored in this little player.
it operates flawlessly by itself and with the system in my truck that is set up to use mp3 players.
i use it in a 17-year-old car with a cassette adapter and the original speakers, one of which is blown, so i don't expect that it'll sound as good as my yamaha receiver with cambridge speakers.
the only times i use it is while driving on my car, when we go out or when we travel we are always listening to it, i kept recording cd's to my wife until i got her to accept she wanted one...
i have it in the gym, in my car, and in my ipod player at home.
i play the ipod in my car, listen to the song i want and then change it to another song when im done.
when i park my car in my garage, my zune automatically syncs with my media center pc and downloads the tv shows i recorded, new music and pod-casts.
20-30 minutes a day charging in the car while i drive makes up for all my other use, which sometimes includes playing it all night while i sleep.
i've been using it at work with the radio, in the car, downloaded audio books for my daughter from the library and we also use the video in the car on trips.
it crashed a couple times, left me frustrated, and was stolen out of my car right before christmas.
point is that the latest ipod touch and its software have brought the ipod far beyond a simple media player and turned it into a great, flexible tool for both entertainment and potentially business!
definitely pop for a car charger or a wall charger or both if you are thinking about buying this product.
if you like a product and service, pay for what you use, and support the business.
i think it's quite nice to hear the car horns from time to time or if you are really lucky hear a bird chirp or whatever.
apparently apple decided to remove firewire charging support it will charge via usb 5v pins only and most automobile and some home accessories utilize 12v firewire pins to charge.
i wouldn't use it for playing music because its not loud enough, it sounds like its going to bust, and its very distorted.

there's satellite but that's a monthly fee and you're locked into your car or home only.

the only "problem" is that the radio reception depends a lot of the headphone positioning at times, so it is a bit of a problem when you are driving your car (i do not have stereo) and listening to
battery life is great - i leave it in my truck to grab it whenever i go to the gym every day, and i go a couple weeks without having to charge it at all.
i charged it over two weeks ago and have used it on multiple three hour car rides.
works great, charges and plays through my sony xplode car stereo with usb port.
i would definitely reccomend this, i use it to work out, clean the house and hook it up in my car.
my biggest issue with these units is the difficulty in hooking it up to a shaker 500 car stereo without having to use one of the fm transmitter type adaptors.
sound quality & durability are awesome and so is the orange color...it matches my car and my camera!
it also dosn't charge in my belkin car charger.
i use it in when i am driving so i recomend that if your old one used to charge on the car, this one may not, but for $30.00 extra scoche has a product that will fix your problem.its hardly an

i bought the car charger, home charger, and silicon case combo on amazon though, and it's nice as well.
i also joined audible.com and downloaded two books (loved city of thieves by benioff and a thousand splendid suns) for a long car trip.
i listen to music all day long in my office or in my truck without problems.
the pro is that you can use any old mini-usb wall/car charger that if you have bought a few cell phones in the past few years, you'll have one kicking around your junk drawer somewhere.

the main reason i give it a 4 and not a 5 star review is its incompatability with things like older stereos and chargers, i however got an ipod bundle off of amazon recently that included a car
then as i used it in my car, which as only a auxilary channel and not a ubs connection, that the trouble with the oval design became apparent.

it stays with me always and with the car charger it stays charged up.
i use it mainly to listen to music and podcasts while i exercise, but i see my use expanding to listening in my car.
i'm slowly filling it (how to fill 16 gigs?) with music and podcasts, to interface with the home stereo and car aux input.

i have backlight set at low and i turned coverflow off...i use it to walk to and from class and in my car with a tape adapter so it does the job...lets hope the battery doesn't start acting up.
this is my first ipod/mp3 player and i must admit that at first i was hesitant to buy one because i ride the bus & sub to work so safety is a concern but it's a great way to zone out during the ride
and for my car, i just use a mini-cable to attach the ipod to my car stereo's input jack.
