point is that the latest ipod touch and its software have brought the ipod far beyond a simple media player and turned it into a great, flexible tool for both entertainment and potentially business!
if you like a product and service, pay for what you use, and support the business.
i wouldn't use it for playing music because its not loud enough, it sounds like its going to bust, and its very distorted.
even though they said it would take 7-10 business days to deliver, i received the package in 2-3 business days!
he mainly uses it for his workouts but i take it everywhere, to work, on my business trips, to the gym.
i will use it on business trips to watch movies when flying.
- fashionable ui with lots of eye candy and fluid floating pictures, text and artsy interface put iphone/ipod touch interface into the business casual category.
-the overall weight and feel in you hand is very comfortable and durable, making the use very easy for on the go or just sitting and relaxing at home (or waiting on the train/bus).
add to this the fact that the zune software does not natively support audiobooks without very limited third party software and the device becomes a bust.

i have also owned ipods (most recently a touch, which i took back because it broke and wasn't compatible with my car stereo.

play it through the stereo in your car, it will play but not charge.
sound quality & durability are awesome and so is the orange color...it matches my car and my camera!
i would definitely reccomend this, i use it to work out, clean the house and hook it up in my car.
my biggest issue with these units is the difficulty in hooking it up to a shaker 500 car stereo without having to use one of the fm transmitter type adaptors.
from 2 hours away, it took 7 business days (not including weekend days) to get here.
i find myself preferring to use my 1st gen ipod to this one just because i can actually update it without 20 minutes of work and because my old one can be recharged in the car.
i haven't used the genius feature....but i use the ipod in the car and at work.
i recently bought this ipod not knowing that it does not charge from my kenwood car stereo.
the fact that these 4-gen ipods are incompatible with most of the existing accessories (like my car stereo adapter) is a deal breaker (ipod won't charge when connected).
this new 4g nano is not compatible with car stereos and speakers.
i bought this unit to use in my new car, attached to the audio input hidden in the arm rest.
i mostly listen to it thru my car stereo.

now i can link my ipod to my alpine car stereo and have my complete musical library with me at all times.
what holds this product back from a higher rating is the lack of a wall charger or car adapter with purchase and the lack of an affordable smaller alternative ipod.
once my zen finally dies, i will replace it with another non-ipod for working out and keep my ipod for the car.
sound is ok, pictures quality is ok, but the wheel is lousy and finding instructions on the internet is a piss poor way to do business.
i did not like the itunes business model, listedn for 30 seconds and buy.

i have it plugged into my deck in my truck , sony cdgtx920u , thru the usb port in the back , and i can control everything right trhu the deck.
happened because of a static discharge getting out of my car.
on my car, which is where i listen to it, stereo some of the songs do not have enough base
now they are sending me a new device as mine could not be repaired (faulty drive) which they are sending me back via fed-ex ground (5-7 business days) so basically i am waiting approx.
if microsoft would lighten up on trying to force their music service down our throats, they could certainly come up with much more user-friendly software, which is, after all, their main business.
