i was concerned that the "shake" feature to switch songs might be irritating if it were too sensitive so that when you were walking or jogging, etc.
i do use my older nano and shuffle for working out, since i have things to hold them and they seem a bit "tougher." it is not that i have had any issues with the new one, i have just sort of fell
another bonus from the accelerometer is that jogging the nano makes it select songs at random, and there are some games included (like the maze) which rely on tilting hand motion, pretty cool.

i mean, this thing has more memory, a screen, plays multiple formats including ogg which half of my collection is in, and is still light enough and small enough to go running with without even
the player works perfectly as an exercise companion: it's lightweight, holds quite a few songs, and sports surprising audio depth with the right aftermarket headphones (i bought koss ke295 noise
it is also heavier than the more subcompact mp3 players making this impractical for people who go running.
