this thing has some amazing technology, it`s not your typical mp3 player.
this is a wonderful product for the older adult who may have a hard time learning how to use new technology.
pros: great movie viewing, gaming, music listening, tiny size, reasonable price for technology.
pros: innovative touch technology, beautiful screen, wifi, safari browsing, great audio and video performance, slim design
all in all, i think it is an awesome techno gadget.
the touch technology is amazing , like i said, nothign like it.
i have always been an early adopter of new technologies and guess i have just been lucky not have any issues with any of my electronic equipment.
eagerly awaiting my "touch", i had high expectations for both this miniature marvel of electronic technology and my first venture into the realm of apple nirvana - but i was to be sorely disappointed
and now that they've co-opted the technology, somehow it's "better" because ...
the technology under the shell of the classic is not the latest and greatest, but it's the evolution of a proven, user-friendly concept.
i came to this from the minidisc technology, which i still love, but have put aside.
otherwise, its a great technology.
there is some backward technology here that annoys me.
it's sleek and so convenient, eliminating the need to carry and handle compact discs, which on the technological evolutionary scale, apparently they're really not much better than vinyl records,
someone with a bit more technological knowledge might find this product a bit annoying.
it is great to feel a part of the product development in these days of ever changing minute by minute technology.
missing out on publicly using an iconic piece of technology takes getting used to, but ultimately the zune is a very functional and entertaining bit of technology.
i hope they fix this problem, otherwise this is a magnificent piece of technology.
there is always going to be a problem with technology and the makers can not please everyone.
(like others, i wonder why i can't just download directly for windows media player.) i am a bit of a techno-phobe and have yet to play with the video or podcast features.
being a fan of techno and electronica, i can't tell you how many songs sounded absolutely awful playing through my ipod - over premium speakers, no less.
i would recommend this product even to people who are techno-phobic, because it is virtually plug and play.
for all it's techno glory, however, the newest nano is not perfect.
i know it??s full of technology, but the price could have been a little cheaper.
pros:?easy to use cons:?price of music "easy to use even for the technology-challenged.
it's possible to get 100gb in a half dollar size (high capacity technology), so why don't they offer at least 64gig?
the old charger will not work with the new technology.
this great piece of technology has been ruined by this stupid shake thing apple decided to add to the device.
i am a 50-something techno-dinosaur but the 4thg ipod is so easy to use, so compact, so light, so conveninet that even i can do it.
the thinking behind creating the inconvenience of non-chargability & making customers shop for an adapter goes directly against what technology is about(simplifying lives.
in a culture that has become dependent on the latest technological advances apple is merely feeding their infatuation.
so i had to learn how to use it from scratch as i didn't know anything about mp3 technology prior to this.
as technology advanced, and the convienence & portability of the mp3 generation took hold, i found myself drifting back & forth between ipod's & creative labs players.
this was a gift for my wife, who is very technologically challenged.
so i'll only say that as a 40-something, time-deprived, technologically challenged person, i found this device amazing.
i am not technology savvy and burning songs to the mp3 player from windows media was a breeze!!
i am your average user...tech-savvy, but no technophile.
i'm not technologically sophisticated, but i can figure things out if i read instructions.
