Pros: Video definition, sound quality is good but with Grado SR-80 headphones it's astounding, stylus works great when calibrated which is simple to do like all other adjustments and the nylon tip can't scratch the screen and the lanyard is replaceable. F. from Newegg.com 150 clams cheaper than my kids ipod touch... Cons: ear buds are junk, onboard speaker works if you are in a very quiet setting and have good hearing. Also the day after I ordered the 8GB palyer the 16GB went on sale for the same price.. Still don't regret buying this.. from Newegg.com and going. The GUI/interface is simply a visual masterpiece, offering a user experience unlike any other player on the market - as intuitive as it is fun to use. Additionally, I'm truly stunned at the speed at which NewEgg delivered my iRiver P7, and couldn't be happier with the product or the service provided. from Newegg.com Pros: - Very nicely designed.- MicroSD slot (I have a 8GB SDHC MicroSD).- Support for extensive aduio/video formats (unlike iPod).- Very good UI (menu is magazine like). Cons: - World Clock app only has a few cities (not including many major cities around the world).- External speaker is strangely week. from Newegg.com Other Thoughts: The converting software sometimes does not get it done right the first time. I've uploaded 10 movies on it so far and 2 have needed a second conversion to get it on, but it has worked the second time around. Heard the expansion is only compatible to 8GB so I bought that to be safe. OVERALL: It's a very affordable player versus others in the same screen size, flash memory and style. from Newegg.com Slow encoding, but I have a dinosaur of a computer. Stylus mount point has no explanation. Not many accessories on irivers official website (skins, screen protectors, etc). Other Thoughts: I basically use the audio and the video to accomplish what I want in a player and this one seems to match all I am looking for. from Newegg.com Cons: Navigation from screen menu to menu is sluggish. The screen tends to get dirty fast.
