I have had my YP-U2J for 2 years now. It just won't give up. from Amazon.com This is a great little player but it doesn't play albums in order. if you want it to have more features and be super cool then go to the australian samsung site and download the yp-u2 software (not the full product name of yp-u2jzw) and install the firmware update to 2.21. You can then use windows media player 11 to sync it, or use it as an instantly recognizable flash drive. from Amazon.com its great for the price, its small, light, and has a great feel. Cons: okay, for me it has two major negatives, which might seem small.....but they are highly annoying. 1. it insists on playing tracks in alphabetical order unless you make playlists. from Newegg.com This firmware also makes it function like a flash drive, so i can carry things other than music on it. Cons: Flashing the firmware can be difficult. If you keep the US firmware, you'll have to use Windows Media Player 10 in order to transfer and delete songs. Other Thoughts: Mine came with US firmware v1.156 on it. from Newegg.com Pros: $40 is a great price for a 1GB mp3, especially for a Samsung. It's realli light, has cool looks. from Newegg.com Shipping was fast, as usual. Cons: Still has problems with sorting songs by song name instead of track value from MP3 tag. Other Thoughts: Download the YP-U2X version 2.211 from Samsung. Navigate to the Austrialian global site to find the file. from Newegg.com After only a few months I am having the same problems with the YP-U2J that everyone else seems to be having where the device isn't recognized but still charges. I googled and found a link to some fixes. from Amazon.com Its a great supplement if your looking for a small afordable mp3 player. Cons: Its a real hassle to use Windows Media Player so I just did it the old fashion way and dragged and dropped the songs into the folder. And everynow and then the player would not be recognized on my pc so what you have to do is go to Samsungs web site and download the firmware update for your model. from Newegg.com I got this today and was very worried I'd have to return it as previous reviews claimed that it would not work with Media Player 11. It worked easily & instinctively especially if you've had other Samsung products. from Amazon.com Frustrating ever after that. I've had my 1 gb player since I bought it on sale about 7-8 months ago.
