I bought this player a few months ago, as a Father's Day gift, and it works pretty well. The 8 GB capacity is generous for the price (about $50 on sale, including shipping), and since it is a flash memory-based player, is pretty much immune to shock and heat. Because it is pink, it usually draws some interested glances when used in public.
This new one worked for about 1 1/2 years. When it messed up, it would still come on & play the songs that were on the player, but I could not put any new songs on it [& i tried all ways to transfer music to it, such as windows media sync & the drag and drop method into the folders]. This has become a frustration since I still have 5.5 GB left on the memory & I can't utilize it. I would not recommend this product unless you like to replace your electronics every year or so.

I picked one of these up for Christmas at a Black Friday sale thinking I was getting an excellent deal on an 8 gigabyte player. Well I was wrong.
The RCA Pearl was easy to use and holds all of my albums. It also has video, fm radio with pre-set stations, holds photos.

Scratches easily. It seems just a trip in my purse leaves it with a couple new scratches. I've had this MP3 player in black for around 2 years now, and I'm very satisfied with it. I'd recommend it if you aren't so quick to spend twice the price on an iPod.
Brought this mp3 player over black last year. it always crash and all of a sudden a few days ago im listening to to it n my car and it shuts off once again but now it wont cut back on nomore.
