Have to take the top off every time for both. Battery has a sliding lock bar which is a pain to get in position. Expected a lot more from Memorex. Sonds good. from Amazon.com I bought the Memorex MMP8564 Digital Player based on price, and because I like these little AAA battery flash card players. I recommend downloading the user manual before you buy. from Amazon.com Product description did not state it will not take a SD card over 1GB. Then when I received it, I discovered it. from Amazon.com So good, I bought 2....positive in every way but one...has little button on front to change songs..thats the only negative! from Amazon.com
