The archos is a great device, but it is not without its flaws. I have had the archos for about a week now and love the device. from Amazon.com Archos 7 worked fine on the first day I received it. On day 2 it would not charge. from Amazon.com for the record i have had the archos 605 and the 705 and recently have bought the new archos 7 .they all performed about the same the 7 might be a little faster, as it has a faster processor.the screen resolution is better too.the price has come down on these players and i say buy one if had your eyes one one.never experienced any of the major issues described by other users, seems like they are too critical, my only issue was freezing up, fairly rare though, what can you expect these are tiny computers with big features. the 7 will fit in your jeans back pocket.nothing beats archos for internet browsing, movies, web radio, etc.at a small size it cant be beat, with the huge 160 gb(or 250) hard drive you can load lots of movies,pics,music,never a dull moment when you have an archos 7. from Amazon.com I have bought one Archos 605 wifi and two Archos 7's with the DVR Station and they all were sent back.
