ProsYou can appreciate the sleek shape with the easy to see screen. ConsThere was some difficulty trying to figure out the buttons, which way to push and turning it off and on....but perhaps maybe it was just me. This is my third Zen and I love the size. The fact that this one has a better cord for charging makes it so much better than the others.
I was looking to replace my Creative Zen Vision M: because the switch kept going to the lock position rendering the player useless. I use my player to watch xvid encoded .avi files that I can slide right onto the player without any conversion necessary.
I am very disappointed with this product. It only worked for 1 year and now it is no longer working. This is the second Zen product that I have had that only worked for 1 year. Before this I purchased the Zen Vision M.
I had owned a Creative Zen Sleek Photo before I decided to purchase this, my Zen Sleek Photo was an excellent MP3 player, and in fact is still completely functional, but I managed to screw up the headphone jack, and now the sound cuts out whenever it moves, which is nearly constantly for any sort of walking or other kind of even moderately active listening. This did not jive with my usual listening habits, so I looked into purchasing a new MP3 player, and found that Creative had come out with something new, and incredibly visually appealing (in my opinion).
Creative Zen 32 GB Portable Media Player (Black) I thought I was in heaven when I first got the player.
This means that you have to know which folder a certain song is in if you want to listen to it. I would probably return it if I didn't think it would be a hassle. This is all really a shame, because Creative used to have an amazing player in the Nomad. It was sturdy, scrolling through songs was easy, it was 40 gigs (also had a 60 gig version).
I've used this for about a month and so far it has worked really well. I previously had an 8GB Zen V and I was happy with it until I filled it up. I prefer the interface of this player to the Zen V and I was surprised at how small and light it was.
Bought this to replace my Creative Zen M, tried the Zune and Ipod but for books they just don't cut it. Creative is the best for listening to books and I can play every format on the Creative so I can get my books from Overdrive, Netlibrary, or Audible.
This player replaced my prior Zen Micro, which finally died. I read the comments about this player but have had none of the issues that others have written about.
