THe Sansa Shaker is a simple MP3 Player that i purchased for my 4 year old's birthday and she absolutely loves it and has no trouble operating it independently. I was just told today that they no longer manufacture this product. from Amazon.com I know the age range states 8 and above (I think), but there is really nothing else for younger kids that is not proprietary that I have seen. I looked into the Fischer Price FP3 player but I wanted the ease of just adding and deleting the music in a traditional way (like a flash drive). The only disadvantage to buying for someone her age is the earplugs don't fit, so I am buying some of the Leapfrog Earphones for kids for her (around $12).
